Fuzzy Memories
Fuzzy Memories

My memories and dreams are mixed up,
Old dusty cassette tapes on the highest shelf,
Lying crooked against the wall in the back of my mind.
When the night is dark,
And secrets try to escape,
I play them.
A fuzzy static arises,
And once a song begins,
I’m unsure which thoughts are mine.
The words of a million moments come together,
A few dreams clouding into a blur,
Creating an odd rhythm.
Old memories break through my walls,
Filling vacant spaces.
The unpleasant ones,
They tend to be the loudest.
Memories,
Sorrows,
Dreams,
Regrets,
The neverending music of my mind.
