"Invisible Presence" is a poem about quiet longing and the nostalgia for someone absent. Through delicate metaphors and poetic imagery, it explores hidden emotions, wandering thoughts in the heart, and the subtle thread that binds the soul to what is missing. Each word whispers of waiting, each breath evokes the invisible presence that lingers in the shadows and light of the mind.
In quiet hours, a shadow drifts through my mind,
A presence felt though never seen.
The air hums softly with what cannot be named,
And even the stars seem to hold their breath.
I walk through empty streets of thought,
Each step echoing a gentle ache.
The wind carries hints of something lost,
And the moon glimmers like a secret kept.
A warmth lingers in the corner of my heart,
Fading with the light, yet never gone.
Moments stretch, delicate and suspended,
As if the world itself waits in pause.
Sometimes a smile blooms from nowhere,
A spark of what could be, quietly burning.
I reach for it in silence,
Let it hover just beyond my grasp.
Time moves slow, soft, unyielding,
And still, the longing threads through everything.
Like waves brushing distant shores,
It is both gentle and insistent, unspoken yet known.
Even if distance bends the path and tests the heart,
I will wait quietly, holding you in every thought.
Each memory of you sets a gentle rhythm in my soul,
And still I wonder when the void will be whole.
